About us

MILK 2020 is a not for profit organization incorporated March 16, 2009. It is owned by the dairy producers and processors of New Brunswick. It is funded under a unique arrangement where dairy processors and dairy farmers contribute for each hectoliter they produce of process. The New Brunswick Dept. of Agriculture and Aquaculture has strongly supported MILK 2020 with both funding and administrative assistance.

MILK 2020 was established to provide innovative solutions to problems in the dairy industry. Leadership for MILK 2020 is provided by an executive and a board consisting of 5 farmer directors, 2 processor directors and 5 ex officio directors one appointed from each of the provincial and federal governments.

MILK 2020 does not have research staff or facilities but will partner with universities, public or private organizations to fund and coordinate research that attempts to provide solutions to problems in the dairy industry.
